Refer-a-friend - Our Ambassador program: Are you an existing AIFS host family? Refer a friend and if they commence the program you will receive a $50 Coles Voucher for every new host family

Additional Cost Considerations:

It is a condition of AIFS Au Pair in Australia that the Host Family covers the costs of:

• One -way transportation from AIFS' Sydney office to the Host Family home. For interstate families this may include a bus, air or train ticket and any other necessary transfer costs;
• A weekly stipend of AUD$200 - AUD$250 to be paid directly to the Au Pair depending if she works 30hrs/week or towards 40hrs/week; every hour above 40 per week has to be paid with $7 extra
• please note, the weekly stipend has to be paid even though the Au Pair won't be accompanying the Host Family on a holiday trip; kid's nap times and nightly babysitting have to be included into the weekly working hours;
• Inclusion of the Au Pair on automobile insurance;
• Full board and accommodation with the Host Family for the duration of the program;

Payment Methods

Payment may be made by cheque, money order, direct debit or credit card. Credit card payments will be charged a 2.5% service fee.

Repeat Family Program

Many AIFS Host Families choose to use our services on an ongoing basis so they have an uninterrupted level of care for their children. In order to receive $100 discount on a new Au Pair placement, AIFS needs to be notified in writing up to 12 weeks prior to the current Au Pair's working day.

Short-Term Au Pair Program

The advertising fee for a placement of up to 3 months is $275 incl. GST. Short Term Au Pairs are Work&Travelers who are already in Australia and have sufficient childcare experience to consider AU pair work. If we receive an application for the host families ad, the Short Term Au pairs can usually start their placement in a few days. Unlike the Long Term Au pair program, we do not provide a Federal German police check, a medical certificate and reference checks for them and they might not have a first aid course certificate. We do provide an Australian Working with Children Check for every single Short term Au Pair.
