Placement Process

AIFS Au Pair in Australia makes it simple for you as a family to locate the ideal Au Pair! Here's how it works;

Step 1: Complete the Application

Complete the Application Form with your family details, references and preferred program start date. The completed application pack including the application form, 2 references, photos of your family and the Host Family Essay. The initial application can be completed online or mailed, emailed or faxed to AIFS.

Step 2: Matching an Au Pair with your family

Upon receipt of your Application AIFS will complete a check of references and a member of our Au Pair team will schedule a time to visit your family to hold the Host Family interview. (Telephone interviews are scheduled for families situated outside the Sydney greater metropolitan area).

Step 3: Choosing your Au Pair

At the successful completion of the application and interview, AIFS will send you suitable Au Pair profiles out of our extensive database of available Au Pairs based on your family's requirements. You may select one or two out of these profiles for a telephone interview. Upon completion of the telephone interview with the Au Pair you may either select the applicant or choose to re-enter our selection pool.

Step 4: Finalising your Au Pair placement

If you choose to select the Au Pair, a start date is finalised and an agreement for your family and the Au pair is sent for both parties to sign.

Each month AIFS has at least one scheduled arrival date for Au Pairs commencing the program. For more information on arrival times please click here.

Interested in the program but not yet ready to sign up? Visit our online Au Pair database and check out available Au Pairs' profiles.
